This exercise primarily targets the biceps and also works or engage the anterior deltoids and the traps muscles for stabilization. This exercise not only stimulates your biceps, but also the forearms as a secondary muscle.

The alternating dumbbell biceps curls develop size and strength of the biceps and forearms. This is a great exercise to correct any strength and size imbalances in the biceps as it works each muscle individually.
