The constant forward bending and computer slouching of our daily lives create weak backs that lead to back pain. This exercise can be used to strengthen your back muscles, prevent back pain, and promote uniform muscular development front to back. This is a very small movement so don’t move further than you can naturally and easily. There should be no movement from your lower body (hips to toes).
How do perform:
1. Lie on your stomach with your legs together. Arms along your sides.
2. Lift your abdominal muscles away from the mat.
3. Keep your abdominal muscles pulled in. Extend energy through your spine and out the top of your head to lift your upper body slightly off the mat.
4. Lower your body and repeat.
